Devotions

Have you ever done family devotions or any kind of devotions? Well, me and my family sit down and have little devotional bible studies. It’s good to do devotions. Just in case you don’t know what devotions are, here’s the definition: Reading about God/Jesus in the Bible, talking about what it says and how we can apply it to our life, and praying. When me and my family do devotions, we do that. Even if you’re already saved, that doesn’t just mean your going to Heaven. It also means that your still going to learn and trust in God/Jesus. That’s what I do. Even though I’m a Christion, I still learn about God by reading the Bible. It teaches me a lot about God, about things that happened late in the past with other people, and how God helped them and made things work out with them. See, God/Jesus is pretty amazing. He can do anything. That reminds me, here’s a quote from the Bible: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Now, I don’t know excatly where in the Bible it says that but the Bible does say it. You know, God wants you to learn about him and His word. It makes him very happy. Even if you don’t learn more about Him, He still loves you no matter what, but that doesn’t mean you should ignore Him. When you read His word, you’ll probably feel a lot better about things that might have happened in your life. That’s part of what devotions are for.

Super-Detective Dog
Once apon a time, there lived a Detective dog named Lady R. Well, from where we’re starting in her story she’s not a detective dog yet. Though she will be.  Now let’s get to the actual story. There was a women Named Katie and a Man named Cyle. They got married and had a daughter that they named, Lila.  Lila always longed for a detective dog to play detective’s with. She loved playing detectives and went on a lot of pretend missions. One day she cried and her mother (Katie) said, “That reminds me, I have something for you. Come to the back yard with me.” “Okay,” said Lila. “Cyle, will you finish making the soup?”,asked Katie. “Yes,” answered Cyle. When Katie took Lila to the back yard, Lila heard some barking. Just then, Lila saw a female dog sitting on the concreit tied up. “Is she for me?”, asked Lila. “Yes,” ansered Katie. “Thank you so much Mom,” exclaimed Lila. “Your welcome,” answered Katie. Lila finally had what she longed for. Now lets hand the story over to the dog which Lila named Lady R.
One day when Lila let me out-side for a morning walk, I felt like going to the Detective Agency Center. I couldn’t stand playing detectives with Lila, but not being a real detective with her. We bolth always wished we were real detectives but we thought it just wasn’t possible. I’m tired of that theory. I think I’ll just have to go and get a detective membership card. We have been praying for four years that we would become detectives.
When I arrived at the Detective Agency Center, I hurried up to the front desk.
There I saw a male dog sitting in his chair. Breath in, Breath out, I told myself as I asked the male dog for a membership card. Along with a membership card, he gave me a sheet of paper that read: Dates and Events of Missions till Next Week: 1st Monday: Dog and Owner Contest: 1st Tuesday: Lost Puppy: 1st Wednesday: Lost in Los Angelos: 1st Thursday: Cargo ship in Chicago:  1st Friday: 80 d contest (Female dogs and owners only)!!!! The dog at the desk asked for my name (Lady R.) and told me to come back when those missions are finished.
When I left and headed back to the house, I wanted so bad to tell Lila that we’re now real detectives now but knew she wouldn’t be able to understand me because I’m a dog and I don’t comunicate the same way. Although, when I handed her the card and the sheet of paper, she understood right away that we’re now real detectives. Although for some reason she looked a little discouraged.  About five minutes later, she finally told me why she was discouraged. She told me that she has school on those days. Of course when I heard that I was really discouraged. That was when I decided that I need to see if I can get the dates changed.
In my own way, I asked Lila if I could go back out-side. Then she told me that she doesn’t mind as long as I’m back for supper.  When I got out of the house, I headed strait for the Detective Agancy Center. When I arrived I asked the male dog at the front desk if I could speak to the manager. Then he asked why. I told him that I can’t complete those missions at those times because my owner has school at those times. Then he said that there is no need to talk to the manager because number 1: He’s at a detective meeting. Number 2: Those dates are suppose to be dated for the summer. When he handed me a new paper, I was so releived that we really could be real detectives. Then Lila’s and my own story begun.
The End
Come vistit us again for another story from our series of Super-Detective Dog to know what happens in each mission!!! Stay tuned for the first mission: Dog and owner Contest!!!!

How I got saved!!!

I got saved on July 27, 2006. My mother was putting me to bed. We sang songs about Jesus and I asked my mom some questions about God, Jesus, and sin. She explained the Gospel message to me. I confessed my sin and asked Jesus to come into my heart and save me. I believe that Jesus died on the cross so that my sins would be forgiven. I also believe that Jesus loves me and everyone else too. I also believe that Jesus rose again on the third day and rose up through the clouds into Heaven.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

If you need any advice on how to get saved, there are video clips you can watch under "Salvation and Spreading the Gospel" on my Blog.

"Seven Trumpets"

Seven trumpets is from Revelation in the Bible. The symbolism of the seven trumpets mentioned in Revelation and the seven angels who bear them have been the subject of much discussion and debate among Christian theologians.

You will find information about the seven trumpets in Revelation 8:6 through Revelation 11:19.  I read "The Door in the Dragons Throat" by Frank Perretti. The book is based on Revelation. That's how I knew about The Seven Trumpets. It said in the book that you would find a lot of similar things written in the book of Revelation. After I read the book, I looked in the Bible and understood exactly what it was talking about.  Jesus is coming as King of all Kings and there will be a judgment day.

If you read in Revelation Chapter 20:15 and Chapter 22:12-13, you will find this:

"And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”
